3rd Day in Chicago
This is our 3rd day in Chicago.
On this fine Sunday night we encountered a very fun and well formed “documentary” called "Saljoetsilo". It was one of my personal favorites of the Version festival, so far. Michael Starve and I met with the artist and many other Dutch artists at Diamonds on Archer . We hope to have Ms. Hooymans on our airwaves in the near future. Apparently she and a host of others will be presenting tomorrow at the Underground Multiplex . We look forward to seeing that.
And we will bring back as much of this video content as possible for our screening on May 6th at Artist’s Television Access at 992 Valencia Street in San Francisco.
Todays completed programming consisted of Michael Starve briliantly bloviating about the pope and Henry Hyde among others (MP3)
, plus an interview on Poetic License with Srikanth Reddy (MP3)
.
Linda Arnejo spoke about her life as a lesbian mother of four and her attempts to bring the queer community into the fray of the version festival. (MP3)
Upcoming shows with Linda will include interviews with Kris Dresen, Searah from Early to Bed, ban comic sans and many others.
Jon Brumit joined us with a performance by phone (MP3)
, and Lee Montgomery interviewed Andi Wallwhore and Svetlana about Ovarium.org (MP3)
and Mary Beth Noble and Edith Abeyta about their piece "The Marketing of Disaster: a sublime aesthetic or the ‘need to know’ compulsion of a culture in transition?" a piece that, in the end was about the failure of a collaboration. (MP3)
And so ended our first full day of programming.
