Kenneth Baker thinks we’re not artists…or at least not San Franciscans
What with the NPR piece.. this might be enough to give us a complex…..

“All right, the Biennial probably still does matter to younger artists who get their first national exposure through it. But imagine how differently the two San Franciscans included this year must feel about it: painter Robert Bechtle, now in his 70s, and installation artist Mitzi Pederson, in her 30s. (The guerrilla media collective Neighborhood Public Radio rounds out Bay Area representation in the show.)”
I can’t say I ever saw Mr. Baker at our storefront, but I can say that we’re glad Reyhan Harmanci writes for the Chronicle, and that we’re proud about our Oakland origins, despite our years of San Francisco collective residency.
We’re also glad that Kenneth spelled our collective name right. Thanks!!!

Kevin Baker is a poseur, his lack of understanding about art is fantastic.
