State of Mind Stations update
The State of Mind Stations project is now officially on the blog! Check out the page for this project to hear the recordings from the State of Mind Stations project.
Helmed by Neighborhood Public Radio’s Michael Trigilio, the State of Mind Stations project is part of the sprawling Radio Cartography exhibit at Southern Exposure Gallery and funded in part by the Creative Workfund. From November 2006 - May 2007, Neighborhood Public Radio (LeE Montgomery, Jon Brumit, Michael Trigilio) will host, prepare, coordinate, and produce a variety of experiments and programs for Radio Cartography at Southern Exposure.
When someone comes upon a State of Mind Station, they can call the provided phone number or send out an email indicating the visitor’s state of mind and location. NPR will take the messages and broadcast them on the radio. Email messages will be recorded by Michael Trigilio and added to the radio broadcast week-to-week.
Listen to Neighborhood Public Radio 88.9 FM on Friday nights from 9pm - 11pm and hear what’s going on inside the minds of the people around you, the people you work with, and the people you love.
