You are correct about the nit-pickiness of the last comment. My apologies. Congratulations on the arthritis and sorry about the baby, uh, wait, that should be the other way around.

SL,

You are correct on every point... my apologies... my rhetoric on the sponsorship over the past 3 years (3rd anniversary...heading into 4th year) has morphed, I guess from "one of the most mentioned sponsors" to "the most mentioned sponsor" .... still I would be inclined to say Burger King coming in in the top 10 still leaves me aghast.

Luckily I'm not blogging now for Jon Edwards... or that would be a real problem.... Now as for the Robert Barry bit... I played an excerpt from that despite my personal estrangement from the interviewers... and since Jerry didn't stick around long enough to get on the air... I didn't mention his brief attendance... hell ... I didn't even realize he was him until after he left... so the last comment seems to be nit-picking.

I still love 21 Grand...even if i don't leave my house much anyomore... what with the new baby and my arthritis.... and am more than happy to sing it's praises whenever possible... just did today to a group of Berkeley undergrads... smooches all around.

Keep up the good work your own selves. I want us to have our 5th/4th anniversary at 21 G...but I think that happens in 20 years.

From our archive to yours:

According to OUR archives, there are several factual errors in the 1st NPR interview

It's the 3rd anniversary of NPR not the 4th
The most frequent sponsor of Nat'l PR programming during the period discussed was not Burger King, but the Corp for Public Broadcasting, but KRON Channel 4 followed by European Sleepworks.
There was day time programming also on January 18th, which featured the Fletcher/Reichert interview of Robert Barry as well as the attendance of Mayor Jerry Brown

Keep up the good work.
